Great chat show action last week - many thanks. Dolly Digital's silent spectacle took my fancy but they were all good - I especially liked Gregz's alcohol frenzy. Dangerous!
Anyway that was then but this is now. Up for grabs this week is a classic 80s disco compilation from my favourite label of that period, Prelude. Prelude's Greatest Hits Volume Two (Vol One isn't nearly as good) features five stone cold classics out of eight which is a damn good strike rate. The main contender is this guaranteed floor filler from Unlimited Touch:
which is rarely out of my box. If that wasn't enough you've got this from the aptly named Secret Weapon (terrible sound quality but you get the idea)
and this from Sharon Redd - (bizarrely great video!)
Not to mention the mighty Keep On from my all time faves D-Train and the one that goes "push, push, in the bush" (!) from Musique. And three other tracks that are also quite good.
So, to win this album for free (mailed to you at my expense with a bonus mix CD thrown in) just answer this question: exactly what kind of music do you hear in the streets? Tweet your answer with the hashtag #fredsfreerecords; I'll chip in from time to time to tell you what's doing it for me and then pick a winner on Friday. Oh and by entering you agree to send me a photo of you with the vinyl should you win, just to prove you got it (still waiting for you dayvisuk...!) Bring it on!
